Abu Dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, chaired a meeting of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, where updates on the Emirati Family Growth Programme were reviewed. This initiative is aimed at supporting the growth, stability, and cohesion of Emirati families across Abu Dhabi.
According to Emirates News Agency, Engineer Hamad Ali Al Dhaheri, Undersecretary of the Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi, presented an overview of the programme’s progress. Also in attendance was Dr Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of the Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi. Al Dhaheri highlighted achievements across six key initiatives under the Emirati Family Growth Programme. These include the Rental Assistance for Newlyweds Initiative, the Facilitated Marriage Loan Initiative, the Extending Housing Loan Repayment Period Initiative, the Maternity Leave Support for Women Working in Private Sector Initiative, the
Home Visit Service Initiative, and the Loan Partial Deduction Initiative.
H.H. Sheikh Khaled was briefed on performance indicators of government initiatives aimed at strengthening and supporting Emirati families. This includes the Medeem initiative, which provides tailored services for soon-to-be-married youth, newlyweds, and families, as well as professionals involved in wedding-related industries.
Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasized the importance of the Emirati Family Growth Programme and other community-focused strategies, such as the Abu Dhabi Family Wellbeing Strategy. These efforts reflect the leadership’s commitment to building strong foundations for Emirati families, with the belief that stable families are essential for a cohesive society that promotes sustainable development across sectors.
During the meeting, H.H. also reviewed updates on key government projects and initiatives aimed at fulfilling citizens’ requirements. The focus is on enhancing the wellbeing of both citiz
ens and residents through infrastructure development and improving community service quality and efficiency.
